Rizwan Ibrahim


Rizwan is Director of GF Ventures, LLC where his activities include angel investing and consulting to management at profit and non-profit organizations. Previously at GFV, Rizwan founded and operated several startups in the financial services arena focused on mortgage finance intermediation, real estate settlements/title insurance origination, and outsourcing of back-office loan processing operations.

Before forming GFV, Rizwan was a Partner in the Strategy Practice at Accenture, where he led strategy, technology and organizational assignments for US, Canadian and European clients. Prior to that, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company and managed strategy, operations and marketing assignments for energy and industrial clients across North and Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Earlier in his career, Rizwan worked as a consultant at the World Bank and a project engineer at Stone & Webster Engineering Corp.

Rizwan has degrees in Engineering, Finance and Technology Policy from Syracuse University, Johns Hopkins University and MIT. He also holds certificates in Financial Planning and Investments from Georgetown University and Johns Hopkins University.

Rizwan is a Founding Charter Member of OPEN’s Washington DC Chapter and serves on its Board of Directors. He is also a Charter Member of the USPAK Foundation.
